Warning
Use at your own risk! This plugin assumes that you manage all your videos with Plex (and none with Kodi). You might lose data already stored in the Kodi video and music databases as this plugin directly changes them. Don't worry if you want Plex to manage all your media (like you should ;-)).
Some people argue that PKC is 'hacky' because of the way it directly accesses the Kodi database. See here for a more thorough discussion.
What does PKC do?
PKC synchronizes your media from your Plex server to the native Kodi database. Hence:

Download and Installation
Install PKC via the PlexKodiConnect Kodi repository download button just below (do NOT use the standard GitHub download!). See the github wiki installation manual for a detailed guide. Please use the stable version except if you really know what you're doing. Kodi will update PKC automatically.

Additional Artwork
PKC uses additional artwork for free from TheMovieDB. Many thanks for lettings us use the API, guys!
Important Notes
- If you are using a low CPU device like a Raspberry Pi or a CuBox, PKC might be instable or crash during initial sync. Lower the number of threads in the PKC settings under Sync Options. Don't forget to reboot Kodi after that.
- Compatibility:
- PKC is currently not compatible with Kodi's Video Extras plugin. Deactivate Video Extras if trailers/movies start randomly playing.
- PKC is not (and will never be) compatible with the MySQL database replacement in Kodi. In fact, PKC replaces the MySQL functionality because it acts as a "man in the middle" for your entire media library.
- If another plugin is not working like it's supposed to, try to use PKC direct paths

Known Larger Issues
Solutions are unlikely due to the nature of these issues
- A Plex Media Server "bug" leads to frequent and slow syncs, see here for more info
- Plex Music when using Addon paths instead of Native Direct Paths: Kodi tries to scan every(!) single Plex song on startup. This leads to errors in the Kodi log file and potentially even crashes. See the Github issues for more details. Workaround: use PKC direct paths instead of addon paths.
Background Sync:
The Plex Server does not tell anyone of the following changes. Hence PKC cannot detect these changes instantly but will notice them only on full/delta syncs (standard settings is every 60 minutes)
- Toggle the viewstate of an item to (un)watched outside of Kodi

Plex for android activation
I bought "Plex for android activation" from the Play store on 2/12/18 and have restarted both the app and Plex server many times since then. But when I try to play media from the server on my android device without synching it first I get a error telling me to restart app and media server.
Should I ask for a refund or can this get fixed?

Watched Status sync between locally synced and server
Hello,
have content synced locally.
I watched them offline
When I am connected to the server again, the watched status of the locally viewed items is not synced with the server.
Is it normal behaviour? If not, how can I fix it please?

How to Name Concert Video Files
Hi I was reviewing the naming standards for TV, Movies, and Music, but I didn't see anything that best handles concert videos which have a file for each song track. They are numbered so I can at least put them in the right order, but it would be nice if there was a good way to have them appear under the same concert title, even if I can to provide the information and metadata manually. (It would be great if there was a way to use the data from the data from setlists.com or some similar site, I will settle for a good manner to organize the content.) Some concerts are a single file and some are a a file for each track. It would be amazing to put chapter markers for single file concerns and then put chapters for each track. Is this possible and is there a "correct" way to do this?

Buffering issue - network not fast enough
Hello,
I have Plex server v1.12.1.4885-1046ba85f running on a Synology DS213j NAS connected to the Plex client v6.14.1 on an NVIDIA Shield TV. For some videos, the playback pauses every few seconds and I get a message from the Plex client that the network is not fast enough to stream the video. I'm using Direct Play (no transcoding). The network is Gigabit Ethernet from the server to the client. I can play the same file on the Shield perfectly using VLC Player (via SMB share to the NAS) instead of the Plex client, so the problem is clearly not the network speed. Plex was working fine with these same video files before, so something must have changed in one of the automatic updates to either the server or client.
Anyone else having this issue? I also noticed that there's a new information overlay saying that "ExoPlayer v2" is being used; this message was not present in older versions (which worked fine).
Would appreciate any insights. As it stands, Plex is now unusable for me.

Remote access no longer working
Tonight, I updated Plex Media Server to the latest version (1.12.1.4885), and all of a sudden Remote Access no longer works. No setting was changed from default, but now it won't open to remote access through ANY open port.
I've no idea what to do from here. I've tried closing and restarting the server, restarting my PC, even uninstalling and reinstalling Plex. Nothing has worked. Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

TV Show not adding despite being formatted correctly
Hi,
Not sure if I am making some obvious mistake here but no matter how much I refresh my library and scan for files this show won't add for me. Pretty sure it's all formatted correctly too so I am pretty confused. All files are MKV.

Movies always start from beginning
Hi
There is 1.11 Plex Server running under FreeBSD under ESXi. There are several clients (web, android, LG Web OS TVs) conected to the server. All clients logged in under same user account. All clients are fine besides only one LG Web OS TV. At the TV all moves begin from the start never resuming. LG TV Plex Client tries to resume it but then rewind and beging playing it from scratch. I have anaother WebOS TV an everything plays fine with it. It is able to resume. I removed/reinstalled/reconnected Plex app from bad LG TV with no result.
What could be the way to fix it?

Most recent update fixes buffering issues
Thought perhaps devs would like to hear positive news. For the most part my xbox one directly plays almost all of my content, excluding audio (why no eac3 support?) and srt to ass. Even with direct play i would see the episode starting screen then a too long buffering screen. Since the most recent update the buffering screen has disappeared the play speed is nearing much closer to a native play speed on kodi or vlc. Thanks for the hard work

Plex Media Server, Remote Access, and Actiontec VH1000 Router
Greetings All....
This is my first time posting here, so please bear with me.
I love my Plex server, and use it regularly for my media.
I still have not been able to activate the remote access despite trying to follow numerous port forwarding steps, etc.... on the forum and other websites.
When I try to enable remote access, I get momentary success ( a green message, saying it's enabled) and then it drops and says that my network is out of the region (or whatever the message is)
I use an Actiontec VH1000 router provided to me here in Canada by Telus.
I also have a netgear router connected to it to deal with Dead zones and to boost the signal from what is a terrible base router provided to me by my ISP.
I don't seem to have this double-NAT problem based on the instructions provided on the Plex site.
So, I am just not sure what to do. I have been spending hours trying to figure it out, but I'm all confused.
Any help in layperson's terms, would be so appreciated.

Plex Media Server 1.12.1.4885 Update from 1.12.0.4829 Fails
When attempting to update my Plex Media server from 1.12.0.4829 to 1.12.1.4885 I am frequently experiencing failures. The logs referenced in the failure screen are attached.
I've read through the logs but and though I see somethings that indicate a problem I'm not sure what to do about them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Plex Media Server down
Hi I have a QNAP 453A with plex media server running over a year. The PMS is not visible on any of the plex apps.
I can see my please cloud and other remote servers. How do I debug this issue.
I already tried restarting the QNAP, re-installing the latest PMS package. The local server does not show up.

Manually installing Aeon Nox skin
Yesterday I posted a question about not being able to download any skins using - Preferences - skin - directly in Rasplex. There has been quite a few views but no replies, so maybe no body knows. So my question is now. Is it possible to manually download the skin using my PC and then ad it directly to the specific folder on the microSD card?

wie kann ich einer bestimmten Software verbieten auf meine Bibliothek zuzugreifen?
Hintergrund: Die Standard Plex App für den Fire TV Stick transcodiert zu 90% die Medien, was den Server unnötig in die Knie zwingt, da ein Großteil der Medien x265 codiert sind.
Mit dem Plex Addon für Kodi läuft alles wunderbar auf dem Fire TV Stick. Daher will ich das das benutzt wird. Aber mein Cousin ist so stur und nutzt weiterhin die Plex App. Ich will die App daher blockieren. Aber wie macht man das?
