Je ne sait pas pourquoi je ne peux pas installer les derniere mise a jour de plex je suis a la version Version 1.9.6.4401 et quand je clique sur quoi de neuf je voie qui sont rendu a Version 1.11.3.4803 mais je ne peux pas l'installer ?

As the title says.

I have a rig with a WD Pro PR4100 NAS which runs the Plex server, a XBox One X client and a Marantz SR7011 AVR.

This rig handles any sound format I can throw at it BUT Plex insists on transcoding my TrueHD (and pretty much any other format for that matter) to AAC. This frustrates me to no end.

There is no reason for it! It direct streams the video but not the audio. I've tried every setting I could think of. I am not sure if it is a client or server issue but I also tried with a PS4 client in the same setup and it is doing the same thing.

I would really like something like a "expert" setting telling the server/client to direct stream dammit and not try and be clever about it.

Plex not picking up the Episodes Names, Rather would just say Episodes 1-etc… I have working for one folder but won’t for others, the format is exactly the same as below:

For working folder:
Windows - S01E004 - DNS Forwarding and PowerShell Intro

Windows - S01E003 - Read Only Domain Controllers and Removing DCs

It’s on the latest agent I have recreated the folder on the server and then a new location on plex and rescanned it same issue.

buongiorno ragazzi e scusate ma sono nuovo, come posso cancellare delle cartelle nella libreria di plex che non contengono video ?

Da ich in einigen Monaten zusätzlich zum Cableanschluss die Möglichkeit habe einen g.Fast Anschluss zu bekommen und meinen Upload somit um mehr als 200% steigern kann, mein Server jedoch mit 15 gleichzeitigen Transcodes am Limit ist, wollte ich mir einen 2. Server zusammenstellen und dann diesen über den neuen Anschluss laufen lassen.

Nun beschäftigt mich die Frage ob es möglich ist 2 Server auf 2 Systemen mit der gleichen Datenbank laufen zu lassen? Die Idee wäre die bestehende Infrastruktur so zu belassen und dann die HDD´s im Netzwerk freizugeben und per LAN den 2. PC anzuschliessen das der das dann so streamen könnte. Ist dies technisch so möglich?

Weiter wäre es natürlich optimal wenn alle auf beide Server zugreifen könnten, denke sollte kein Problem sein da ich die ja alle neu einladen kann auf dem 2. Server. Was mich aber Beschäftigt ist der Austausch der gesehen/ungesehen Thematik. Wenn jemand etwas auf Server 1 schaut, kann man das irgendwie synchronisieren, so dass auch auf Server 2 das als gesehen markiert wird?

Wie schaut das aus mit Tools wie Tautulli, kann ich da 2 Server kombinieren?

Würd mich über Feedbacks von ein paar Cracks freuen, die mir da Tipps und Hilfestellung geben könnten. :-)

The past month or so I've been having an issue where I'll be playing video files and they will randomly stop in the middle of it and act like the file is finished. My plex server on a windows pc is up to date as is my software on the shield tv.

Here's an example of the screen that shows up.

Playback stopped and this screen appeared about 11 minutes into a 40 minute episode. I've noticed this on all sorts of video files the past month.

Has anyone experienced this and have a solution?

Hi, i'm a new user of Plex and i have a "strange" question for you: how can i modify an agent (or scanner) to get metadata info from the folder name for the video that are inside?
Example:
Folder name 2017-06-16 - GP - Video Test have to "translated" in year-month-day - director - original title metadata.
I need this because i have a lot of folders full of personal recording named 0001.mp4/0002 etc etc and i want to make search easier.
I hope that what I have written is understandable :smiley:
