No reply from Plex staff in over a month, support link on their website says "support emails submitted will go unanswered" and directed me to the forums. So here is my dupe thread, hoping Plex staff will actually pay attention and reply.

Eight times now in the last year, persisting through three IOS updates and either two or three Plex client updates, problem continues.
Plex randomly starts playing content automatically. All on its own! When the iPad has been left alone for hours, sometimes days. Happened three times this week, last time was a couple of months ago. All times of day and night. The iPad is literally sitting on the kitchen counter, buried under a stack of paperwork, hasn't been used in days, and all of a sudden we will hear a movie/episode/whatever randomly coming from nowhere. Lo-and-behold, Plex is playing something on the iPad without any action on our part!!!
Please tell me my iPad is not possessed.
