I just built a new Plex server using an Intel I7 6700. As soon as I got all my libraries set up one of the first things I wanted to do was download a bunch of videos to my kindle fire. Whenever plex is transcoding the videos I notice that the CPU jumps to about 80% and after some research I've found that the temperature is reading around 200 degrees farenheit. After a minute or two of transcoding the server will freeze (I'm assuming this is due to overheating) and I'll have to manually power it off and back on.
Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting this issue? The CPU should definitely be able to handle transcoding one movie at a time without generating that much heat. I appreciate any help.
