I have an occasional problem when running Plex on my Samsung TV and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction:
TV: UE55JS9000
App: 2.006
PMS: 1.1.4.2757-24ffd60 running on a Mac with Sierra
TV is connected to network via LAN via electrical plugs.
Plex is also used on an iPad (wifi), AppleTV (LAN via electrical plugs) and occasionally a MacBook Pro (via wifi or LAN depending on position)
Periodically playback freezes, it sometimes can go 2-4 hours of playback without issue other times freezing will start after 20 minutes. When a freeze does happen it becomes much more likely another occurs - often there is a second freeze shortly after. Frequency does increase 10 fold when the Mrs comes into the room but I am sure thats just coincidence (though she's starting to believe she's jinxed)
When a freeze does occur Plex on the TV reports the server to be down. If I switch to another app (eg NetFlix) it works no problems and coming back to Plex it still says the server cannot be found so doesnt appear to be a network issue and at the same time if I try to connect to the PMS say via my iPad it finds the server/works without issue.
All my other devices that stream from the PMS dont have any issues with freezing.
This has been happening since I started using Plex again about 8 months ago and has involved a couple of updates in software (TV, Plex, MacOS and PMS) as well as some clean installs.
