Hi @all,
at the moment i'm using a VDR-server, generally it is a linux-based htpc with dvb-s2 tuners and a (really good) software for live tv and recording. in my case it works in a client-server-setup, i have a "dvb-receiver-machine" with 6 dvb-s2-tuners and a 12 terabyte harddisk-space for recordings. Live-tv and also the recordings will be streamed to other small computers with the VDR-software and/or kodi. But vdr works at the moment only for free-tv.
Additionally i'm usind a enigma2-based settopbox, also with dvb-s2, because it is the only choice to see and record the local pay-tv over here.
Now it comes to my question: is it possible to merge these two machines with plex, and to give all the clients (with kodi or with a plex-app at the amazon fire tv) a seemless access to live-tv and recordings, no matter from which source the live-tv or the recordings really come from? If the answer would be "yes" i'm sure there will follow many other question, but this is the basic question for now...
Thanks, jennix
