Issue Summary:
I just installed and activated the Plex Windows 10 app and connected it to my server. However, when I try to stream music, nothing plays. The app also won't display photos. I have not tried video. When I click a song or album, the song list loads, but the playback bar shows 0:00 and I cannot press play. With the photos, I go to the photos section and it never shows photos on discover or browse. I am running this app on a Surface Pro 4 with the Windows Anniversary Update installed. My server has an i7 CPU, 8GB RAM, and a 1TB HDD running Server 2012 R2 (with latest updates). I have a Verizon FiOS router. My media is formatted mostly MP3 and JPEG.
What I tried:
-Used the app on my custom-built PC but it also doesn't work.
-The web version of Plex works on my Surface and PC. The app for my iPhone also works.
-I uninstalled the app, verified that all registry keys, app data, and store data were deleted.
-I tried the app from the same network as my server as well as remote. It doesn't work either way.
-I have a networked WD EXT2 Ultra NAS running Plex and that also didn't work.
-I took a look at the router's open ports, disabled the router firewall, disabled the Surface/PC's firewalls and anti-virus and still nothing.
This one really has me stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated!
