I'm trying to switch to plex as my music client (on my 4th gen apple tv), using the ios or web apps to "fling" music to the apple tv app. There's one problem: the apple tv is only available as a "fling" destination if the plex app is currently open on the apple tv. This means that unless I've recently turned on the tv, navigated to the plex app and opened it, I can't fling my music to it. However, if I airplay music from itunes (on any other device) to my apple tv, then the apple tv wakes up and starts playing the music. I wonder if it's possible for the plex app to make use of the same magic? Otherwise I'm pretty much stuck with using itunes for listening, even though I much prefer the plex experience for both server and client. (Of course this solution would also make it possible to initiate other media watching via fling, which would be even better.)
