So my media player updated tonight to 2.4.1.787 and as a result, the player itself has gotten super low resolution.
It's just a media PC running Windows 10 and attached to a Samsung 43" LED tv via HDMI. It was fine until the update.
Previously, I had the scale for thumbnails set at about 1/4 from the left and it would fit maybe 6 or 7 thumbnails across and the whole library menu on the left displayed easily. Now, the menu has a scrollbar and only 4 thumbnails fit with the scale slider all the way down. It doesn't seem to have messed up playback, just the controls are remain huge.
