[RELEASE] Kino.pub (плагин)

Установка плагина для Plex.

Распаковываем и помещаем Kinopub.bundle в папку:

Linux: /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins
Windows: %LocalAppData%\Plex Media Server\Plug-ins

В главном меню Plex-клиента выбрать Channels -> kino.pub, нажать Enter.

На экране появится код активации устройства. Запишите его: он потребуется вам в дальнейшем для запуска вашего приложения kino.pub на Plex.

Зайти на сайт, выбрать в разделе Активация устройства и ввести код активации Plex.

Теперь ваше устройство привязанно к аккаунту на нашем сайте, и можно в полной мере наслаждаться просмотром.

Use a RAM-Drive for transcoding cache? How big should the RAMDrive be?

I've been toying with the idea of reducing the wear and tear on my primary drive. My server has 4 drives on it, and uses the OS drive for transcoding. My media is direct MKV rips, so unless I'm playing on local computer using PMP, it transcodes everything. My server isn't a powerhouse, but it is capable enough to meet my needs. My main goal is to reduce the wear on my drive.

All my media is 480p DVD rips to MKV, or 576p handbrake MKV reductions of BD. I don't have the storage capacity or processing power to use BlueRay rips. I'm fine with that, really I am. Image quality is good enough where I still enjoy watching my content.

If I've got a maximum of 3 people streaming from my server at once (due to upload bandwidth), what size RAMDrive would I optimally need, and what is the minimum size I would need? My server can't hold much. 24GB I know I can get, 32GB might be max. I'd think a 4GB or 8GB RAMDrive would suffice, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's an expense, and I don't even know if I have the budget for it currently.

Introduction

Greetings all!

What started out as me trying to learn Python ended up being a quite useful app, so I thought I'd share what I've got so far.

This initially started out basically as a direct port of PlexWatchWeb from PHP to Python so it would be easier for most people to get running. I however am never satisfied so after much tinkering and tweaking I started slowly adding and fixing things that I thought needed attention.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about then that's fine too, if you came here to just find a tool to easily monitor and receive notify playback events from Plex you're at the right place.

Media Unavailable - Sync Storage Location Changed from External to Internal!

Hi all,

I have 'around' 20 movies synced to my phones External Storage (always has been synced to this location)... however recently I got a Plex notification about remaining space on my Andorid phone saying only 5GB free but it was referring to my internal storage...

Checked Plex and found I could no longer play any movies... "Media Unavailable - The file associated with this item is not accessible by the server. Please verify that the file exists and the necessary drive is accessible"

When checking Sync settings, all movies are still listed including cover art under the "Synced Items" however the storage location is set to "Internal Storage" and it should be "External Storage".

Trying to change it back to External Storage but am told "Change sync Location - Changing the sync location will result in any currently synced items being deleted. Are you sure you want to continue?"

If I check the External storage location I can confirm the expected large storage use at the following path:

  • Storage/0000-0000/Android//Data/com/plexapp.android/files/media_parts/...etc

I've tried rebooting the phone but did not help... I also updated to the latest build of Plex app (5.4.1.40), same issues...

I'm not too sure which update or action caused this issue as I have not played the video's for a month or so I believe but keen to know how to fix it without having to re-sync?

How to have the title in french? Synopsis is in french but title still in english

Hello,

i don't understang how can i change the configuration of plex to have the title in french. I change the parameters in french in the option of "Movies", the synopsis have the good translation but not the title.

I check all paramters in plex but i don't find anything could help me.

Plex database question

I understand the database structure pretty well but I am having a hard finding out the table that joining account_id to tag_id. Basically, if I wanted to create a query to search for all movies for a given account_id, what table do I join on metadata_items. I know how to display a list of movies for a given tag_id but I can't find a way to link the tag_id to an account_id. Thanks for your help.

Can Not Stream MKV files larger then 10gb

hi everyone,

i have ds416play nas device and plex installed on it. 4x4tb disk installed also. %52 is empty in last status.

My nas connected to samsung UE55JU6470UXTK smart tv via tp-link gigabit switch. Nas connected to swtich as LAG with 2 cat6 cables(1gig) and tv is connected to switch with cat6 cable(100mb). All the cables are solid with no data loss or broken.

all the softwares are up to date ( plex on tizen, plex on synology and the dsm os). all the plex apps are default settings. I didn't change anything.

Now I can play any kind of video on my tv via plex app up tp 10gb file without any problem but about 15-20gb 1080p or 4k files comes with very blurry (in low resolution) or buffers every 5-7 seconds with 2second view.

How can i fix this problem?

Android App album genres are showing artist genres in the filter pane

Hi there, in the Android app if I am in album view (Music) and open up the genres filter I am given the list of artist genres, not the album genres. This is working correctly in the web version.

Running Plex 6.7.1.2498 on a Nexus 9 on Android N.

Video plays very dark on NVIDIA Shield/Android TV

Hello folks,

My playback video comes through very dark on the Android TV Plex app, versus what I can see when I view the same scenes on the PS4 Plex app. It's as if someone turned the brightness nearly to the lowest setting. On the PS4, bright and crisp (and also locks up after about 30 minutes, but that's a problem for another forum...)

I haven't changed anything from default and my client is the most up-to-date for both the server and client.

Plex is telling me my program Guide is empty

So I have been using plex with my HD Homerun Prime for the past week and my live tv and recordings were all showing. I didn’t change anything but today I went to check my recordings and it didn’t show any future recordings and my program Guide is empty. I have tried refreshing the Guide in my dvr settings and it shows the full amount of scanned channels that it should. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Plex DVR no longer works - HDHomeRun Connect no DVR functionality, audio only on web

My issue is that my Plex DVR will no longer record anything at all. Plex Web sessions on all devices have audio but no video. If I manually start a DVR recording, the HDHomerun app will not show my Plex Server as a locked tuner IP.

I recently upgrade my HDhomeruns to version 2017930. My last Plex DVR recording was the same day, prior to my upgrade. I am on auto-update from Plex and do not know exactly when the server was updated. I have Beta as my update channel and have a Plex pass.

I have made some recent changes to my server, but they were all prior to this issue. I moved the Plex appdata folder and the transcode folder to a brand new disk about a month ago. This made no change.

My trouble shooting so far has been restarting everything, reinstalling the HDHomerun Firmware (same version, 2017930) . I also deleted all of the legacy "Plex Media Server" folder on the new drive as well because it doesn't take much time for it to be rebuilt.

In my tuner logs, I see:
DEBUG - [I] file_tuner::get_stream_file. File C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\Tuner\Private\devices\dvb\file\drv_file.ini does not exist
and
DEBUG - [I] BDA: DeviceGetListEx_impl. Skipped Silicondust virtual BDA driver

I changed the BDA options in the HDHomerun setup program through all of the options with no luck. I then uninstalled the HDHomeRun Setup program entirely.

I'm at a loss and really want to record the World Series game tonight.

Web player refuses to stop showing an episode in progress

I have an episode of a TV show that always shows up as currently being watched when I log into the web app. (It is down in the bottom notification bar at about 40% complete). I have restarted PMS, I have set the show to near the end and let it finish, I have tried watching other shows, no matter what if I log into the web player it shows this show as not being finished. Any ideas?

Some video files won't play after update

I have several video files that were playing fine on Xbox One before the app update but now will not play.

Details of the files:
Mp4
H264 codec
AAC 5.1 audio

i suspect that the issue is the 5.1 audio because I have converted the file to mkv format with video pass through and they play fine.

It's frustrating that the old player worked and the new doesn't (or am I missing something?)

Media Scanner won't add any files to library. TerraMaster F-220

Hi, everyone!

I already did have this problem and have had it resolved. But it was a long time ago and I don't remeber how, shame on me.
Long story short, PMS installing ok, but Media Scanner won't add any files to the Libraries. I remember only that the whole thing has to do something with user permissions and I did managed it once for sure.
The control panel on the TOS (the NAS operating system), show no user named "plex", but there is a folder "plex" in the "user" category and i can't create a new user named "plex". But I can rename any other user to "plex".

In the logs Media Scanner keeps referring to the address http://127.0.0.1:32400/, which seems odd to me, and keeps getting an error 401.
DLNA server btw refers to the right local address like 192.168.1.13 and seems to be ok.

I will try to remember what moves I've done last time and if I'll do it again, will post here.
But I also appreciate any help!

Subtitles stop working after a short time in MKV

When playing an MKV with embedded subtitles, after a short time of watching, the subtitles stop being displayed.

Switching from Forced SRT to SRT, or back again, seems to make the subs show again for a little while, but then they stop appearing again.

Running latest (1.9.4.4325) version on Windows 10, and playback on MacOS web player (3.20.7).

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Best options for setting up a home media server for Plex?

Apologies firstly if this is in the wrong section or break the rules.

I'm currently using my desktop to host my server with all my files on a 8TB external hard-drive. I am the only user on this server and all my files are either 360/720p quality as I need to save space. My issue is that I don't like leaving my main PC on all the time so I'd like to set up a dedicated Plex server but I have no idea where to start.

I've been shopping around for a few hours looking for something that would work but I'm not entirely sure what's best for me. I looked at at a RasberryPi3 but apparently that won't be powerful enough for me. I also don't want to have another older desktop that takes up space as I'd ideally like something that's somewhat discreet and won't take up a lot of room but can function as an always-on server. My budget is around £150-200

Playback Error - Streaming this media is unsupported.

My shows were playing fine until my PLEX stopped recognizing me so I had to create a new account and re-download PLEX media server several times before I could get PLEX to recognize the new account. It now sees all of my movies and shows, however; it plays the movies fine but I get: "Streaming this media is unsupported." when trying to play my shows, which are on the same drive as the movies. I turned on Direct Play with no results.

This is my current build when running Plex to my Roku Premiere+ via ethernet while trying to watch 1080p mkv files. My internet speeds are 100/100.

Whenever I try streaming 1080p files from my PC, I have issues with stuttering and I'm not sure what is the cause of the issue. Some 1080p movies run fine, all other quality files run perfectly fine, but overall 1080p is the only quality that gives me trouble.

Does anyone know what the cause of this could be? If it's my build, could you please recommend me a better alternative? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

More information: I've checked my transcoder speed, and it stays below 1 for the most part, although it seems my CPU should be able to handle the stream just fine. Not sure what's going on.

Plex Film vom Server uber Handy an DLNA faehiges TV senden nicht moeglich?

Hallo zusammen

ich habe es nun hinbekommen, auf meiner QNAP NAS den Plex Server laufen zu lassen.
Von extern wie intern erreichbar und auf den Handys bzw. Tablets abrufbar.
Aber nun wollte ich bei einem Bekannten den auf dem Handy gestarteten FIlm ueber die Remote WLAN Verbindung an den Fernseher uebertragen so wie ich es z.b. von youtube kenne, aber das ging nicht. Ich bekomme den FErnseher innerhlab der Plex APP des Handys nicht zu sehen.
Wenn ich aus Plex raus gehe und z.nb. ein youtube Video aufmache und dieses dann an den Fernseher werfen moechte, funktioniert das.

Weiss einer da einen Rat damit ich die Filme vom Handy, die vom Plex Server geliefert werden, direkt an den Fernseher werfen kann?
