Well, just as the subject, In running Windows 7, with a USB hard-disk to store all my media.
however, the Plex don't seem to detect the changes of the drive.
I've been running plex for a year now..
I've been using other media servers, and they have been detecting the changes.
I've tried different settings, but it will still not update automatically..
anybody got any suggestions?

Sen förra veckan får jag bara Error vad jag än väljer för Kanal eller Program. Har provat att ominstallera utan framgång.
Enda jag ändrat är att jag passade på att signal upp för Plex Pass när det var bra rea.
Kan någon inställning ha ändrats? Eller vad är det som gör att det nu inte funkar?

This is a bug report.
I have been using Plex for about a year now on many different platforms, but within the last few weeks my Samsung TV (model UE50KU6075XXE - bought in January 2017) has displayed subtitles out of sync - sometimes up to 10-20 seconds off. This does not happen when watching the movie from the beginning; only when resuming a movie in a later session. Sometimes it fixes it (or at least gets better) if I toggle the subtitle language within the app or stop and the start the movie again. Note that when I do this on other platforms (e.g. Android or Chromecast) the subtitles work fine and are in perfect sync. Note also that I have only tried this with external .srt files - it may also occur of internal subtitles but I have not tried that.
It seems that the out-of-sync offset is related to the time it takes to start the movie. So if the server is slow to react the out-of-sync offset is bigger.
I am running latest server on my QNAP NAS (1.5.5.3634) and the TV auto updates to latest version of the client.
Please let me know if you need any other information or let me know if there is anything I can do.

I've changed bunch of metadata with my movies (TheMovieDB had wrong info) including movie title. But after some time (library refresh) the titles got changed back to those from TheMovieDB. All other information (sort title, description, etc.) remained correct (the way I've written it), but movie title didn't. The lock icon in edit metadata is locked.
How can I force Plex not to change that movie title?
Newest plexPass version of PMS, Windows 7 machine.
If a TV Show season or Movie is moved from one disk location to another, it is completely removed from the library once the empty season folder in the old location is removed.
The server is configured to automatically scan for changes and clear the trash after library updates.
Examle:
The Section "TV Shows" has to locations:
Move /Volumes/A/Media/TV Shows/Foo/Season 1 to /Volumes/B/Media/TV Shows/Foo/Season 1.
This is really annoying if you regularly move seasons from the local disk to an external drive.
The bug exists for a really long time, including the latest 1.9.5 betas and happens at least on macOS when moving seasons or shows using the Finder.
Just tried out hardware transcoding, and PMS immediately crashes. Client shows this error:

Running i5-2500k on Mavericks (10.9.5), which supports QuickSync. I know Sandy Bridge was the first architecture to support QuickSync, so not sure what the restrictions are on it, but it should revert back to software transcoding instead of hardware if it doesn't support the frame rate, etc. Crashing PMS is not okay.
I have found a couple more bugs both of witch are very very annoying and one I only found thanks to Plexpy!!
First, if the App enters extended Screensaver i.e you leave it for like an hour while the screensaver is on, then when you return the controller or remote will not highlight any thing on screen for a good 10-20 seconds. Also there is a rare possibility then when you do exit Screensaver and select an item the information screen will not load at all.
When others watch items via the own profiles or accounts with while using the New app it will add the items to the main profiles "Deck".
This one I found out thanks to Plexpy as items kept randomly appearing on my Deck and or on the continue watching section, after looking at Plexpy I can see the very said items being played via the new app on different profiles and/or accounts!!.
The Media remote does not register the "Stop" button after a while, and other butters can sometimes take multiple presses to work.

Update:- Ok the Bug about things appearing on Deck is not limited to Just the New app so this one I think is more of a server bug than an App bug, before I was only seeing happen when other people used the New app but just this morning I have seen the exact same thing happen when my Son was using his Fire stick (witch ONLY has his account on it!!) what he was watching appeared on MY DECK and Continue watching list 10-20 mins after he had watched it!
Försöker få till det här med att optimera filmer/tv-serier i Plex. Det funkar att konvertera och så, men när jag till exempel ställer in IOS preset, och sedan spelar upp den versionen på min iPhone, "transcodar" datorn fortfarande, är inte grejen med optimering att undvika transcoding?

Ou sinon améliorer l'UPNP de Plex avec la Freebox car il bug énormément quand je passe par la Freebox Player (Bug d'affichage des films voir impossible de charger la liste, impossible de passez une vidéo donc obliger de remettre au début si on stop la vidéo)
Et une autre question es t'il possible d'ajouter les chaîne de Freebox TV sur Plex (Je c'est que c'est possible via VLC de lire les chaines Freebox donc pour Plex sa devrait être techniquement possible non ?

Is anyone else getting a issue with subtitles disappearing after 30secs to a minute after start of playback of videos. I've updated to the latest xbox plex player and now subtitles seem to be now playing. (srt files in the same folder as the video files) if I stop and restume the comeback again for a shortwhile before disappearing again.
There was a forced xbox one update today. Gui has been completely reworked I see, but I keep getting 'server unavailable' issues.
My server (windows 10 machine) has been updated to version 1.9.4.4325
I did not enable remote access (local network should suffice, worked before)
I had to re-login from the xbox app, using the link code.
I tried optimising the library, restarting the xbox one, restarting the server, nothing works.
Any suggestions?

under Settings->Web->Player->Subtitle Size
and when I'm using the Xbox one flex player i don't see any changes.
any ideas?

I was very annoyed to find after like a year of using Plex + Nvidia SHield TV that a lot of my higher quality movies were being transcoded on the fly. I found through debugging logs this is because the SHield is being matched against the generic Android.xml. I adapted it and using options from other places to add in direct play support for pretty much everything. let me know your thoughts. File goes into /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server on my Fedora 25 server. Name it Shield.xml. I'm not 100% certain all of these formats are supported but so far it works pretty well and I've noticed a HUGE difference in the quality of the picture. Especially with items like HEVC 10bit color.

Hoping someone can help me. My QNAP TVS-671 is warning me of high memory usage and looking at the resources it seems that Plex server is using nearly 3gb of my 4gb memory. Is this normal? Is there something I need to configure differently or just add more memory?

On mac/win/ios/lan/mobile nothing works. Existing media is playable.
This was posted in the PMP sub forum but no one has responded.
My plex server is installed outside the local network on the remote computer.
Installed plex application on Iphone and Roku | Streaming TV & Media Player, everything works fine, all my video collections on my devices.
The only problem is that the application is installed on my TVs. Samsung and LG do not see my server, the connection is impossible. What could be the problem?
So I am wondering if Plex Premium Music features still do not work on a FreeBSD system. I have a Freenas server setup and installed the plexpass version manually in a jail and I would like to use the Plex Mix feature. I currently have a lifetime subscription, so I am trying to figure out if this work.
If these features are still not supported, why is FreeBSD the ONLY OS that does not support these features.
I just changed internet suppliers to BT and have a home hub from them.
Prior to the new router everything worked fine with my Sky router (even with my VPN active), so I have copied every setting from the sky router (as much as possible, even down to the IP address of the router and the assigned ip of the machine) to try and keep things the same
