Hi, lately I've received a bunch of FLAC lossless audio. Most of the audio is one file per disc with a .cue file that matches up to the tracks. This doesn't appear to be supported in Plex 9, although something I read said it was definitely supported in Plex 8. Am I doing something wrong, or is it something no longer supported?

Dolby Atmos Coming to Xbox One
I just saw this announcement today, but anyone know if these means anything for us Plex users? I believe the Dolby Atmos reference is related to the Blu-ray player, but would adding Dolby Atmos allow direct play rather than transcoding? If I'm not mistaken, the Plex app on Xbox One will currently play Atmos audio, but it requires transcoding. Direct play would be preferable though of course, so hoping this latest announcement will give us direct play.

I just upgraded to 1.3.2 and now everything I play says There was a problem playing this item, no audio or video data played?

Plex can be accessed directly by IP:32400 but says "Not available outside your network"
This server has been going strong and now Plex's servers can't find my server. FYI my troubled server is not at the IP that I am posting from. I can connect directly and remotely and remote streaming is perfect. The problem seems to be coming from Plex's servers in communicating with it. My Vizio TV can't find it because it isn't searching for the server's external IP.
I can post more about my setup but it seems my setup is just fine. What gives?

Selecting multiple files for download
I can select multiple files to add to a playlist but when i try to select multiple files and then download their is no option. you have to download one file at a time which seems silly, I could easily be missing something anyone have any ideas?

About
LiveTVH provides live TV streaming for Plex via Tvheadend, including metadata from Tvheadend's EPG, theTVDB, and The Movie DB.
After running into a few issues with the existing Tvheadend channels (streaming to iOS, etc), developing a new plugin was a good excuse to play around with Python and the channel framework. I'm not a developer by trade so feedback is appreciated!

2017.05.22 - LiveTVH 1.2
.- New: Paginated channel lists with configurable # of items per page - this helps with longer channel lists (a necessity for IPTV providers with thousands of channels).
- New: Tvheadend recordings for playback - located at the end of the first page of the channel list (a display bug with several Plex clients prevents placing it at the beginning of the list).
- New: Codec identification using Tvheadend channel tags (experimental). This can enable direct streaming for H264-AAC streams on some clients - see the notes on GitHub.
- Updated: EPG parser to improve support for IPTV sources, including using images for a show if specified in the EPG (if other metadata providers are not available or are missing artwork).

Unable to Play Watch Later YouTube videos on Plex Web
There is an issue with Plex Web for Chrome playing YouTube Watch Later videos. They just sit there loading forever.
There was an issue with PMS for Windows v1.5.2 being unable to transcode YouTube videos, but that issue has been resolved in PMS for Windows v1.5.6 and later. I know this issues is resolved because the Plex app for Roku must trancode some YouTube Watch Later videos and they play and transcode fine on the Plex app for Roku using PMS for Windows v1.5.6 or later.
The same YouTube Watch Later videos will direct play on the iOS app and transcode on the Roku app. But I have tried playing these YouTube videos in Plex Web v3.2.1, v3.4.1, and v3.6 in Chrome and they just sit there loading forever.
I even tried disabling Direct Play under Settings > Plex Web > Player, but they still will not play.

"There was a problem playing this item."
I have an ec2 instance set up on aws running 16.04.2 and PLEX was running perfectly for the 40 videos I put up originally. Now that I am adding a new video, plex indexes it and everything looks good to go. But then when I go to play the video, I get this error every time. The video was recorded as a mov using photobooth on a mac and then transcoded to mp4 using ffmpeg 3.3.1. Any help parsing the logs would be great.

Plex + nvidia Shield 2017

più che una vera e propria domanda, vorrei dei "chiarimenti" sul tandem in oggetto!
Per ora uso plex tramite chromecast (server su pc fisso di casa e chromecast in ogni tv di casa..).
La comodità e la facilità di uso tramite smartphone per avviare i contenuti mi ha fatto innamorare di questo sistema (sono anche un utenti Kodi, sistema diverso con obiettivi non troppo diversi...).
I chiarimenti sono:
Le problematiche della shield circa il refresh rate errato in catene dove è presente una TV non HDCP 2.2 (problema in Netflix e Kodi) vale anche per Plex? buona lettura
Plex gestisce bene i 24p e l'audio DTS/DD?
attraverso il client plex sulla shield sarà possibile avere la stessa "facilità" di avvio dei contenuti tramite smartphone? App Plex, contenuto, avvia su "shield" I contenuti avviati sul client plex della shield viaggiano su DLNA (senza transcodifica)?

Unable to login to http://plex.tv
I am unable to login to Plex.tv. Every time i enter my pin it continues to prompt me. When I removed the pin it keeps taking me to the click user action. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Plex for music
I want to talk about using Plex primarily as a way of listening to my music library. OK, I mean I want to vent a bit about some of the features. I do want to be lighthearted about it as It's a free platform and I'm hoping to get used to its foibles.
To start off with I'm really trying hard to be patient getting Plex to work with my network drive, a Macbook and my iPhone. All my kit is new and I'm not particularly (admission: not at all) handy at configuring computers. It's a bit frustrating but I hope I'm getting there after a few uninstall/ reinstalls and spending a while relabelling my files, both in iTunes and using Finder.
I'm looking forward to things working now and for the next few years as I add to my music library.
However, there are a few aspects of Plex I think are laughable.
1. the artwork Plex insists on linking with artists is often way off the mark. For instance, it's put a picture of some 40's dude in a Fedora as the image for Bach. "Really?!"
2. Does anyone need a potted history of the artist printed up on their page? I find this really cringeworthy. Is it finding this from last.fm or the other database? I'd like to turn this off.
3. It is often relabelling artists incorrectly - for instance, 'DJs' becomes DJDS, and 'Dilla' becomes 'Dillaz' (along with a photo of this Dillaz character).
That's it for now.
I see the priority for most users is video. Perhaps I'm using the wrong platform and there's another better suited to my needs. I haven't found it yet and I've invested a long time trying to get Plex to work.. so here I'll stay.

Disable turn off automatic update checks for PMP
How do I disable the check for updates on startup? I have been going through the settings and I can see for the server that updates are off. However, I can't find any similar selection for the pmp. I am on windows 10. I believe on startup it had a pop-up that said install Now button or install later. I almost was tricked into clicking install later. There was no option to not update. I believe it said I had version 1.2.2 and would update to 1.2.3. It seems the next time I start pmp, windows UAC launches like it is trying to update. How do I prevent this?

Plex Media Player shows web app
Today Plex Media Player started displaying the web app screen instead of the normal Plex Media Player interface on my iMac running 10.12.2 beta 4. My other Mac's Plex Media Player works fine. I don't know if this is a macOS 10.12.2 beta 4 issue or what. I'm stumped. Any help appreciated. You can see in the attached photo the title bar says it's running Plex Media Player but what is inside the window is the web app.

Issues with AC3 5.1 and Roku Premiere+
i do not know when this started but i know i used to be able to play AC3 5.1 audio with my roku premire+. my setup is as follows: Plex server 1.3.3.3148 running on qnap / roku premiere+ running 7.5.1 build 4100-29 connected to vizio P55-c1 tv sound goes to the receiver via optical.
if i cast to it, using the tv built in app, i get sound jsut fine. but the plex app on the roku does not give me any sound

LG TV - PLEX - unstable connection . Check your Connection

I have 2 LG smart TVs at home connected to my network. Recently I updated my Plex server to the latest version. Once I updated one of the TVs was recognising PLEX server however as soon as I click on the server no files are found. After some search on the net this was solved by adding TV ip in List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth .
With regards the other TV which before the update was working fine. As soon as I select Plex server a prompt is being given that connection is unstable. However connection is fine. Moreover I tried to stream videos using LG smart app without any problems.
