Drop down notification bar visible when Plex is running

Hi

I just updated to the new client version via the Google Play Store on my S912 Android box. It's the first time I've seen the new Plex GUI layout on this box and I've had some issues that weren't there before.

The drop-down Android notification bar no longer hides when Plex is running and is visible all the way through playback. I presume this is a bug.

Does anyone else have the same issue or know a workaround?
