I have an issue with the Plex Client, from the Opera TV Store. It is supported by Plex, so I am reaching out to you to see what the issue might be. I am a VERY technical person, and I've been doing Linux, Unix and other Operating Systems for 30 years. Because I cannot login, I do not have access to any client based logs, so I have focused my research on the server side. Nothing is obvious on there, but I have searched all of the logs and found a few things, including:
Dec 30, 2016 12:09:38.500 [0x7fdb1cbfc700] DEBUG - (Capabilities) Platform 'Opera' not matched by plugin platform requirements
I check marked "Disable capability checking", across my Plex Servers. This accomplished nothing. I cannot find any clear error defined in any of the logs (from the server side).
I would ask anyone else who comments on here to mention how you have your environment setup, so the people at Plex can get a baseline of what might be happening.:
1. Multiple servers, an Android TV box (like Mi Box, or Nvidia Shield) with Plex Server running, Plex DVR, etc.
2. I have 4 servers running Plex. One Nvidia Shield with Plex Server, and I am NOT running IPV6.
3. I have Disabled capability checking on all of my servers.
4. My Hisense TV is a 65h7b2 with OperaOS.
5. I run everything cabled, instead of wireless, with Gigabit switches.
6. I'm running a Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 router.
7. I can login via all Web Plex Apps (local, and the app.plex.tv method), and across all Android Apps to my Plex Servers.
Everything else works, and works well - With the only exception being this one Opera based app. Could we all need another app, or library on the TV? Please let us know where to go from here.
I leave it up to the experts at Plex. Please let me know what I can do to help.
Thanks,
Tim
