Roku client can't update streaming progress

I am running Plex Media Server for Windows (up to date), with multiple clients: two Roku 2 (4210R) boxes, an iPhone, and two Chromecasts.

For the past several days, neither Roku client has been able to save its streaming progress or watched/unwatched status on the server. That is, I can manually mark a TV episode watched/unwatched, but in the normal process of streaming, the client does not update its progress on the server; when returning to the TV series, I'm always in the same episode at the same spot. In addition, the usual behavior of providing a 15-second countdown before proceeding to the next episode has changed; the client jumps right to the next episode with only a delay for buffering. The web client works as normal, as does the iOS client viewed either on the iOS device or on the Chromecast. This started shortly before Plex's global downtime on New Year's Eve; subsequent to that I have rebuilt my server database twice (deleting all settings, but leaving the registry intact) with no change in behavior either time. I don't know whether the Roku client had a recent update that may be causing this behavior.
