Plex cannot see content

I am totally new to Pi and Linux (command line stuff).

I have a Pi3 and a 1TB NTFS HD mounted (I have installed NTFS-3g).

I have installed the Plex media server and can see the GUI via my mac, having added the IP and PORT.

I have mounted the HD (SDA1) and this appears as in the following dir /media/pi/MEDIA. This dir can be seen by plex.

In that dir are two films, however, plex cannot see them (films/files). Every time I refresh the plex server folder, no content appears.

I have tried running sudo chmod 755 /MEDIA. I have also tried it on the full dir (media/pi/MEDIA) and alsi just the dir /media/pi.

Via Raspbian file manager, I try to change the permissions to permissions 'anyone' but a box appears and states I am not permitted. Surely I must be able to allocated all those folders and sub folders as anyone everyone?

However, this may not be my problem?

I've spent hours and hours on this. I have reviewed the plex permissions forum page which is useful but does not appear to provide a solution.

If anyone can help or give me advice, it would be very much appreciated.
