Good afternoon all and happy Independence day! I own a Seagate Personal Cloud 4TB drive and used to run the plex server on the NAS drive itself. Since there were so many movies that would not play due to transcoding issues, I decided to just install Plex server on my Windows 10 machine and thank goodness - - ALL MY VIDEOS WORK!
Now the one issue is that since I started running things this way EVERY movie just stops playback approx 5-10 times over the length of a film. I never really look at what moment these movie just stop playing but I have seen that almost everytime it stops playing at around the 5min remaining mark. Sometimes it wont even save the playback point.. I have to FF to get back to the ending. The server is not crashing or anything but it just stops playing over and over again. Almost like I am just pressing stop. I was looking around here and saw some postings about logs and the most recent movie I was watching stopped out of nowhere so I just went into the latest log file and the only errors I found were these:
[1076] WARN - [CompanionPlayer] We already have a handler, overwriting.
[14400] ERROR - Error writing media: 10054 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
[13820] DEBUG - WebSocket: client initiated close
[13820] DEBUG - WebSocket: processed 0 frame(s)
[13820] ERROR - handle_stream_read error 2 End of file
[13820] DEBUG - NotificationStream: Removing because of error
there are some lines in between that i removed due to them being insignificant and not part of the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this??
Thank you all for your time. I will continue to monitor this. I'm sure I will have more data once I watch more..
