Recently we have been having issues with playback on any of our Roku devices. What is happening is when we select a video to play, it plays as it should, however we cannot FF or RW, Pause and resume, or stop and resume. Doing so it gives us an error stating that the file cannot be played for "XYZ" reasons. but if we start playback on that file from the beginning, it plays fine. this is only happening on the Rokus. Web player is fine.
Heres some info about my setup (its worked well for years till now)
Problem started with v 1.2.2x upgrading to 1.2.7.2987 did not fix it.
Two Roku3 hardwired. Latest Roku firmware and Plex app.
Three Roku Sticks WIFI Latest Roku firmware and Plex app.
PMS is on a dedicated HP DL 385 G2 server with 16GB ram.
Video is on two NAS all with 1GBs connections.
Rokus just refuse to allow basic features of video playback.
I know in the change log PMS states fix's for Roku Problems. So is this a new problem, or am I just unlucky?
Anyone have ideas on this?
I have skimmed the logs and not seen anything indicating an issue. I have cleared the logs and will have to wait to post them until I get more data in thats clean.
