Trying Plex instead of Subsonic for an audio only player (for remote devices).
- Plex is the latest release running on Server 2012 R2
- Plex is running on my iPhone running latest iOS 10 release (and I purchased the 4.99 streaming in-app option).
Randomly - I will get the error "Couldn't create the playback session for this item" on my iPhone. This happens with both on WiFi (Local) and Cellular (remote).
I've tried searching for this error and it is all over the web but for different playback issues perhaps.
My entire library is FLAC - and if I go and search for the particular song it gets stuck on, it will play it, so it's not song-specific, it's completely random.
I usually use the "shuffle" option as I have a large library and just want to hear music. Often it'll start out fine then a few songs in, I'll get this error and instead of going to the next song, it just stops playing. If I manually go to the next song, it'll start playing again until it decides to pop up this error. If I go back to the song that causes this error, it will cause the error again, every time. This is when I thought to try and play the song back alone and it worked, so it doesn't seem to be song specific.
All files reside on a local RAID inside of my server which uses a software RAID called "Flexraid" in a parity configuration. I can play the music back fine using Subsonic and locally, every time.
I've attached my log files with verbose enabled. I tried scouring the logs myself but I can't seem to find out the exact time when it fails. What is odd is if I search for a song name in the logs, it does not even show a log entry for the song it's failing on, it shows entries for every song it's able to play, which I find odd. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong file (server.log)?
