I have plex media server running under linux on my media server. I have Plex Home Theater (and Open PHT for testing purposes) running on a 32 bit Windows 10 HTPC. I used to be able to use the IOS app as a simple remote (up, down, left, right, select, back & home buttons).
Recently, if I drill down into a category on PHT using the remote, then start a video, the remote IOS app no longer changes to the now showing view with the play/pause, skip, 30 sec back buttons etc. So I'm stuck at the simple remote screen, with no way to control the video. If I click back, the video ends and I'm returned to the list of videos.
I see the same behavior with OpenPHT.
If I select a video from the library in the IOS app and cast it to my HTPC, then I get the video controls, but the times don't update and the play button never changes to pause.
Is this new/intended behavior or do I have something set wrong?
