I use the android app to cast to a chromecast and a computer with plex web running on chrome. Works great but for a while the plex server computer has been showing up all the time as a device to cast to. Since the computer i want to cast to and the server show up as the same name i end up casting to my media server constantly.
You can see in the screen shot that it can be pretty easy to mix up the two because they show up exactly the same.
Now i know there are some settings in other plex apps to turn off discovery of the device as a playback device. Does the server have this setting? I have gone over all the settings and i cant find it at all. If it doesnt could this be added?
It seems like it would be just a 50/50 shot at getting the right one. But just like plugging in a usb cable i seem to get it wrong way more than 50% of the time.
