Plex 2011 TV Display Text Problem

I have a Samsung UE46D7000 from 2011. Plex App Version 1.019 has recently begun to have problems displaying apostrophes, quotation and '&' marks. These are being replaced by '&hash8212'. That is the Hash symbol followed by seemingly random numbers. (Apologies as my keyboard can't do hash). Most annoying when trying to read metadata on films etc.
HELP!!
