Where do default 'Collections' come from? Can I edit that? What about Remakes

I'm looking to understand which public database my collections come from and if/how I become a contributor to that database.

NOTE: I know I can manually edit Collections, but I would like to contribute to the greater good where there are obvious errors or missing collections.

I have used Plex for years, but I'm only really starting to get in to it and only now understanding how to use agents and such. I'm quite intrigued by Collections and, for the most part, very impressed with them. They certainly have saved me a ton of work (and will in the future).

  1. PURE COLLECTIONS:

But, they are particularly week with classic movies (my favorite). For example, the default Collections do not include:

  • Boys Town Collection (from the 30s/40s); or

  • Chinatown (and the Two Jakes)

and, suprisingly, they do NOT include

  • The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo series

I would like to help and add these (and several others) into the public database.

  1. REMAKE COLLECTIONS:

Also, I was wondering if Collections could/should include 'remake' collections. I have an extensive collection of remakes, for example: 12 Angry Men, A Christmas Carol, Alfie, An Affair to Remember, Arthur, Cape Fear and on and on. I have 52 such remake 'collections' and would like some easy way to access them in Plex. Is there a way? Would 'Collections' be the route

FYI ... below is my current Freebase tab user agent ranking:

Freebase

  • MoviePosterDB

  • local Media Assets (Movies)

  • Cine21
  • Open Movie Database
  • THe Movie Database
  • Freebase (not sure if it does anything anymore)
  • OpenSubtitles.org
