I have noticed that every time someone replies to a "Question" topic in the forum, the post is automatically flagged as "Answered", and removed from the list of "unanswered" threads. Even my replies to my own question are automatically flagged as an answer. I realize that the OP is offered a button to affirm whether the comment actually answers their question before changing the icon from a gray "answered" badge to a green one, but why assume that every reply is an answer to the question in the first place? It seems more often than not, it's other users asking for more details or providing other feedback on the question.
Why not allow the person making the comment to indicate whether they believe they are providing an answer rather than assuming it always is?
