Considering Moving From Windows Plex to Cloud Based

My research today shows im so far behind in my understanding. A month or so i got an email from PLex saying that i can sign up to be picked to use Amazon Cloud sync and that i would be notified when testing would start. i signed up thinking that this was not even available but as i search forums it looks like people are already using it. So Im thinking about switching. I want to layout my whole setup here in case anyone has had issues. Also i could nto find a cloud sync forum so if im asking in the wrong place ill move it. i apologize in advance.

Currently i host Plex on my computer at home. My files are on a 4 TB network hard drive. I signed up for Amazon's cloud system which THEY SAY is unlimited but i have not synced or placed any files there yet.

I access my Plex via Roku in my home and many of my family access it via Roku or Samsung in their homes as ive enabled remote access.

My questions are.

  1. Has anyone successfully used the Amazon storage and is it truly unlimited?
  2. Will i need to run my plex locally in order to make it work on the cloud.. will the Plex computer need to always remain on?
  3. Is there band with issues when using Amazon?

My main goal here is to eliminate bandwidth issues on my end and also not have a dedicated computer that needs to run 24/7 in order to provide plex. I feel like ive lost much time because i thought this was not even available yet.

Thanks
