“No media servers found” in official Plex app for LG Smart TV

I’m getting the “no media servers found” error in the official Plex app on my LG Smart TV.

I’ve checked https://help.plex.tv/noserver and searched these forums and tried everything I could find:

* run a current version of the Plex Media Server: check (latest PMS version, on 64-bit Windows 7)
* ensure that Plex Media Server is actually actively running: check (duh)
* verify that your server is listed on your Devices page (http://plex.tv/web/app#!/settings/devices): check
* verify I’m signed into the Plex Media Server using my Plex account: check
* verify the app is signed in and connected to your account: check (through the four-digit passcode, as there seems to be no other way)
* disable any VPN on your computer or router: check
* disable any proxies being used on your computer or router: check
* repair the PMS installation (i.e. launch uninstaller and choose “repair” instead of uninstall)
* in PMS: update libraries, optimize, clean bundles, empty trash

I tried Populating the “List of networks that are allowed without auth” in the PMS settings with my network 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 to no avail.

I’ve also did the following as recommended on https://help.plex.tv/noserver, to no avail:

1. Sign out of your Plex account in both the app and Plex Media Server.
2. Sign into your account in the Server.
3. Then sign into your account in the Plex app.

The TV is on the same WiFi network as my other devices. I can browse the server perfectly on my iPad (same network). My LG TV’s crappy built-in Plex support can browse the server just fine as well (!), but the native Plex app (for which I purchased Premium) on the same TV fails to find any servers.

Any ideas?
