I've been riping a few of my dvds to add them to my server and as a general rule I've been only keeping the 5.1 audio track. This is fine when I'm watching them back on my shield or now tv box (based on roku 3) in my lounge as they are hooked up to an AV Receiver and are fine with surround sound.
However, when I play on another Now TV box in my bedroom, which is connected directly to my TV, they have to be transcoded because it doesn't support the 5.1 audio.
This morning it occurred to me that if I also ripped the 2.0 audio track where there is one, could I get that track to play when watching in my bedroom so it can direct play? If this would work, could I set up that now tv box to default to the 2 channel audio track or would I need to select it each time (no great problem if this is the case?
