I I've got plex server running on Ubuntu 14.04, just installed Server Version 1.2.0.2716 to try the DVR. I also have an HDHomeRun Prime on my network that I've used for some time, however, I can't seem to get the plex media server to find the HDHomeRun Prime on my network.
I've tried manually entering the IP address of the HDHR Prime in the DVR setup, but it gives me an error, "could not communicate with device". When I ping the ip address, it comes back just fine, and if I visit the ip of my HDHR Prime, I get its web GUI, so I know it's working and can be found by my media server.
I have another DVR program also installed on my media server, MythTV, which connects to the HDHR Prime and works fine - not sure if that's causing some sort of conflict or something, but I can't imagine why that would mess anything up. Would love to ditch MythTV in favor of Plex DVR if possible, but I can't seem to get it to connect.
Any ideas?
