Hi all,
Maybe this has been brought up before in the thousands of threads here. It's like looking for a needle in a hay stack. Sorry for repeating the issue in that case.
Anyway, I have an LG 55 LA690V-ZB and on my PC I run the Plex server 2.4.23. I stream everything from my PC. My home network is 1Gbit all over. The TV is connected with a cable and not wireless.
Normally I have only streamed using the "Input list" and then chose Plex Media Server from on the TV. It is ugly since it looks like a normal file explorer with folders. But it works flawlessly except it wont show subtitles unless I download them in srt format.
A few days ago when I looked for an app in the app store on the TV I saw the Plex client (haven't seen it before) so I gave it a go. It has version 2.6.3.
It worked quite well. No issues with logging in. No issues with finding the media I have. Even subtitles worked fine (idx).
I started to watch the movie Race in 1080p. Started fine and I was a happy camper. Finally I had a nice GUI as well.
But after about 45 minutes it started to freeze like it was buffering.
I stopped the movie and started it as I did before through "Input list" and then it was working perfectly like all other movies.
Now ppl would say "Why don't you just stream using "Input list"?" Well, I also want a nice GUI and I am also curious to why it buffers using the real Plex client while it won't buffer if I use the "Input list".
So my question is, what can I do to remedy this? I haven't changed any settings in the TV client nor on the server on my PC.
Need to add I use a home cinema and DTS 5.1 sound.
