"Watched" status on synced content (still) does not sync

Something positive: I really do like Plex A LOT it is an awesome media center and it does make my (Shows and Movies-) watching live a lot more awesome.

But...

It really does annoy me, that even with the new update, Plex still is not able to correctly sync the "watched" status.

  • I sync a show for offline viewing to my iPad

  • I watch the show, offline (due to IPv6, I STILL am not able to stream from home)

  • I get home and the iPad reconnects to the server
  • Some episodes are marked as watched, some as almost done some as not watched at all
  • I have to go through all the shows etc. and set the watched status manually
  • -> I have to tell my fiance: "No, really, Plex is awesome it makes it all so much easier... yeah I know... I have been complaining about the IOS app for a year... nono, they did update it, finally... yeah no.. its even worse now"

Some other stuff:

  • sync does not work for ****... but that has already been discussed in length, so telling me some movies have been synced only for me to find out WHEN I AM NO LONGER HOME, that they did not... well... annoying.
  • the app crashes far too often

UX

  • it now takes me about 2-3 times as long to get to the show/episode I want to watch

Ok, enough nagging. I am sure, you guys will fix the issues and make everything work even better soon.

Something constructive: my fiance works for a UX/usability/bug testing start-up called "testbirds" in Germany - they help companies test their apps, websites etc - they can get your betas into the hands of already exiting users who sign up for their service and provide you with feedback and also have people who dont know about plex (so "fresh eyes") have look at it. If you want, I will be more than happy to put you in contact with them :-)
