This file should Direct play (H264, AC3, PGS) on the Shield, but it does not. The On Screen Display on the shield says Direct play failed, and plex media server says it is Direct Streaming. However, this has resulted in the PGS subtitles not displaying at all, despite being selected.

In the Nvidia Shield TV settings I have Direct play as 'auto' and Direct stream 'on' with audio passthrough enabled. What can I do to get this to direct play?
I have server version: 0.9.16.6
And Android version: 4.26.1.653
P.S. I added the AC3 track as originally the MKV only had a PCM 24-BIT audio track, which resulted in the unusual behaviour of having to transcode the whole video as well as the audio to MP3, when the video should not have needed transcoding as all, even with PGS selected.
