For a long time I had a standard music library which was able to match every single artist I threw at it. By "match" I mean that it was able to pull in the artist picture, biography, popular tracks info, all of that. It was even able to pull in information for stuff I thought might be trickier, like the "artist" "Drake & Future" who collaborated on one album.
I recently upgraded to plex pass, and I was excited to try out the premium music library features. For some reason, the premium music library cannot find approximately 10% of my artists. Even popular ones like Katy Perry and James Taylor are not matching. I have tried "force" matching them, but it normally just says "no matches found." Sometimes, it will pull in popular track info, but still fail to find the artist picture. I have also tried removing the artist from my library completely and re-adding - no luck. My music is perfectly organized and named, according to Plex guidelines and my songs are all tagged correctly by musicbrainz picard.
This is very frustrating, and has me wondering why I paid for the premium plex music library when it's actually worse than the standard library at matching artists. I appreciate any help I can get on solving this issue. Thanks
