I'm running Windows 10, leveraging Storage Space to act as my Plex media server. I've rarely had issues but I have a small nuisance thing happening now. In short, I cant watch episode one of a television show I have ripped. I created MKV files on the hard drive with a ripper that uses a standard naming convention "_Season_4_Disc_5_t01.mkv". I created them in the Plex TV Show folder D:\Plex\TV Shows\\Season 4\". After I created the MKVs for the series (several days), I renamed them to the Plex naming convention " S01E01". The first and third episodes however, are now having issues in the Plex player. Plex seems to have picked up the original name as it now shows in the info field for the first episode - even though in Windows Explorer, that file doesnt exist (as I renamed it). The third episode shows two files - one with the original T03 name and the other with the Plex naming convention. I have tried using Update on the TV Shows library and tried Refreshing the individual episode, the series and the TV Show library to no avail. Plex player still shows the episode 1 as unavailable trying to use the old file name and episode 3 shows that second file. Any idea how I can get Plex to update to reflect the new name? In addition to Update and Refresh from the Plex web app, I've tried rebooting, different browsers (Chrome, Firefox), renaming the file in Windows Explorer and running Update/Refresh in Plex and I'm out of thoughts. Thanks for any help/insights you can provide.
