I'm in Debian, Plex Media Server 2.7.8. I'm familiar with improper permissions and confusing file names preventing the media scanner from detecting new files. I've already made sure that my new album and the MP3s it contains are all drwxrwxrwx and -rwxrwxrwx. I've also renamed all the MP3s to be of the format 'XX Track Name.mp3' where XX is the track number. In Windows I've made sure that the MP3s aren't corrupt and play correctly. I've checked out the media scanner logs and see it both picking up the tracks upon first scan, and picking up the file name changes I made while troubleshooting. No errors in the scanner logs that I can see.
After all this, the new album ('Stranger Heads Prevail (2016)' by 'Thank You Scientist' by the way) still isn't showing up in the Plex web GUI or Plex for Android.
