no channels after upgrade to ubuntu 16.04

So, for whatever stupid reason, I upgraded my fully functional Ubuntu 14.04 computer running plex media server to 16.04. That's where the headache began. I'm having to repoint plex to the appropriate media (tv shows, movie, music, etc..) but what I cannot figure what to do is get it to see the existing channels (plug-ins). My folder location for the channels is: /home/churley79/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins How can I point the channels in Plex to look into this folder?
