Hi I'm an old BeyondTV user. BeyondTV is obsolete and hasn't been updated since 2009. I still use BeytondTV to record my OTA tv. I have been using BeyondTV Link on a second PC that acts as my video server and has a standard monitor that windows starts up on and a 60 inch LED tv as a 2nd monitor using hdmi off my back ports.
I will be replacing BeyondTV Link with Plex Media Server. One problem that I have with BeyondTV Link is my mouse gets lost when it moves to the LED TV which is in another room. So I was wondering if there is a way to treat the LED TV as a device that only PMS can access.
I will also be upgrading my AVR to one that has hdmi ports so I can use the avr as a controller. Now I just use my receiver for sound. Will using a AVR help my solve problem.
