Apologies if this has all been answered before, I have had a look around but cant find the answers.
I have setup PLEX on an old file server for the time being and it works really well. If there is an indication of future development or a way to resolve my questions now I will go Premium too, great program.
I have been trialling PLEX and have successfully added my media libraries and interfaced it to my Humax PVR which works flawlessly (not HD though).
Im just undergoing major building work at home following a flood so i'm running network cables everywhere. What I want to achieve is:-
A central server hosting all of my media.
Output on up to 4 TV's in HD (Apple TV?)
I would like PLEX to handle the recording of live TV too using a program guide from any TV (like sky plus?)
Id like it to be able to record from 2 channels at the same time.
Id like to be able to watch live TV.
All of the system to run off FreeSAT not Freeview. (wetek box?)
Some form of music player to interface to the system (SONOS?)
At the minute I have it running on an old server, what sort of system spec would you recommend? I'm thinking on the lines of a compact case with silent/quiet fans, i5 or i7, plenty of RAM and Gigabit network. Data storage on external NAS system or internal SATA drives.
I would really appreciate any help / advice you have to offer. First looks its a brilliant product.
