E-AC3 (Dolby Digital Plus) = No audio

Is there a fix for this? Files with DD+ audio work with the web player, so seems to be a pht issue. I've searched and can't find an answer, so apologies if missed. I have mkv files that are one and done, would like to not have to repackage with new audio stream just to be able to watch on big screen. If not I'll keep doing what I'm doing and wait for the rewrite (not the end of the world). Thanks
