Nvidia Shield Question

Hey Plex Forums,

I've just ordered a Nvidia Shield as I'm trying to jump into 4K HDR world. (My Samsung 4K TV doesn't have the Netflix HDR app). I've read fantastic things about the Nvidia Shield and it being an Android TV box makes the features that much more than my Samsung Tizen.

I currently have a buffering issue where I have 3 movies that buffer every 20 seconds, making it unwatchable no matter what player I use. Plex on Samsung TV or Plex on PS4. Wired or Wireless. I have to dumb down the video quality immensely to make it playable, but it's no longer HD.

1st Movie:
Size: 22.32GB
Codec: H264
Bitrate: 29105 kbps
Resolution: 1080p
Frame Rate: 23.976 fps
Container: MKV
Level: 4.1
Audio Codec: DCA
Bitrate Mode: VBR
Audio Profile: DTS-HD MA 7.1

2nd Movie:
Size: 32.87GB
Codec: H264
Bitrate: 30097 kbps
Resolution: 1080p
Frame Rate: 23.976 fps
Container: MKV
Level: 4.1
Title?: MPEG-4 AVC - 25474 kbps
Audio Codec: DCA
Bitrate Mode: VBR
Audio Profile: DTS-HD MA 7.1

3rd Movie:
Size: 27.68GB
Codec: H264
Bitrate: 29761 kbps
Resolution: 1080p
Frame Rate: 23.976 fps
Container: MKV
Level: 4.1
Audio Codec: DCA
Bitrate Mode: VBR
Audio Profile: DTS-HD MA 7.1

The commonality between these 3 files are the audio profiles and high video bitrates, all of them are DTS-HD MA and around 30000 bitrate. In perspective, the next best movie I have has a bitrate of 13800 kbps but also DTS-HD MA @ 14.28GB. This one plays perfectly but that's also more than half the bitrate.

**So my question is, **will the Nvidia Shield handle this? What would be the ideal settings? I'm thinking/hoping the Nvidia Shield can handle this better than the PS4 and Samsung TV can, but does that hold any truth to it? Will the Shield ease the pain of Direct Play to the device so that I can experience non-buffering on these files?

I won't get my Nvidia Shield until next week from Amazon unfortunately to test but I'm afraid the results will be the same.

PS: Maybe I should add that I have a Receiver that can handle DTS HD MA, I'm not currently using it, but would bitstreaming from the Nvidia Shield to the receiver help in anyway?

QNAP Hardware:
PMS on my QNAP TS-669 (Intel atom D2700 processor) which you should know is a processor that cannot transcode to save it's life, so I rely on Direct Play to save my life.
QNAP PMS version:
Running on 0.9.15 but upgrade to PMS 1.0 this morning at work so no testing has been done.
Network:
Internal network is Gigabit all through.
