Hi there, would be great to hear whether others are experiencing the same issues as me?
I'm finding that with my Nvidia Shield, if I run the Plex media server and use local storage, i.e. plug a USB hard drive directly into the shield, everything works fine and all media playback happens in an instant.
However if I use the Shield Plex media server and have the USB storage mounted on the network (instead of plugged into the shield directly)... accessing media is far slower. When doing this i've got all sections of the hardware running on gigabit ethernet ports so there really shouldn't be a network speed issue.
It's almost as if the plex media server needs a while longer to access storage or an NAS across a network, than it does if you plug the storage in directly.
Anyone else finding this or have a reason please? Perhaps i'm missing something and it will always be the case but i figured that gigabit hard wiring between devices would be easily quick enough to not notice any lag.
