After 1.5.5.3634 update, I'm getting not enough CPU for conversion of this item. I'm getting this error for just about every video I try to play.
The server has more then enough CPU power. 8 cores running at 3.2 Ghz with over a 100gb of ram.

Unable to play files with PMS Docker container
After upgrading to the latest PMS the other day, I am no longer able to play a lot of my files. I have experienced this with both the linuxserver.io docker container and the official plex docker container.
I have tried playing the files on the Plex Web, Android, and Roku without success. The issue is occurring with both 1.5.6 and 1.6.1.
The Plex Media Server log shows the error "EAE timeout! EAE not running, or wrong folder?" Any idea what is causing this? Logs are attached.

Unable to sync - the owner of this shared server does not allow this item to be synced
I am encountering the above error message when trying a sync on my Android device. I have a plex pass, and the android device is logged in as the main account user. I can't find where to set a permission to allow syncing.
I have tested on other managed home users, and for them the same error message appears. They are all set to allow sync within user permisisons.

Switching between full-screen and window mode causes playing to stop and restarts the app.
I just changed a setting to "plex pass" from whatever the default was. After doing that It upgraded my software. I use plex on my computer->hdmi port and watch movies on my TV. The "old" player (prior to the upgrade) does not have a web type interface and integrates well with my 44 button remote. The new one does not.
Heres the problem....
When I'm in full screen mode it works like before and I have no problems. When I to go into window mode. The program use to to just go into window mode. Now it stops playing, acts like it is just starting up logo and then shows the web based interface at the top level.
similarly, if I'm in window mode, it restarts again and goes back to the "old" interface. When I say old I mean the non web based interface.
I am thinking I should uninstall and reinstall, but I dont want the web based app and I'm afraid I'll be stuck with it and not be able to use my remote....

Feature Request: Server Sync
First things first: thanks for an awesome platform. I am using Plex on my LG TV, my notebook and my iOS devices.
There is one feature I would love to see. Especially with the newly announced PlexSync feature.
My current setup is: running PlexMediaServer on a Synology Disk Station. It is the place where all my movies are stored and at the same time it is quite energy-saving.
If I watch movies at my TV or the Notebook everything is fine. Once I want to watch a 1080p on my iOS device everything is very jaggy and it's not really fun. Plus with the new PlexSync feature: Coverting on a Synology Disk Station takes quite a while.
Now to my point: I would love to have the possibility to just start a "supporting" PlexMediaServer on maybe my notebook and let it support the "Master"-PlexMediaServer. Like that everything would simply speed up.
Please think about it and let me hear your thoughts.

VLAN support
I am looking at replacing existing wifi router with an Ubquiti EdgeLite3 router with a UNIFI AP. I want to create two VLANs in hopes to separate IoT devices from private devices. The Plex is running on a dedicated Windows 10 PC that also shares on the same network switch a Netgear RN104. I know the RN104 is VLAN aware and know the NIC on the Plex is capable of defining a VLAN ID to connect to. Question, is will Plex support this and have the Roku devices connect to it over the same VLAN? The Roku's will connect to the UNIFI AP which is broadcasting the Private LAN over VLAN1. I know I can create a routing rule to route certain devices on the VLAN1 to the specific IP for the Plex box if I wanted to keep those separate. I am a PlexPass member but do not want the Roku devices to connect over a relayed connection but local to take advantage of the Gb speeds.

Unable to sync - The owner of this shared server does not allow this item to be synced
I am trying to sync TV/Movies to my Android mobile device on the only User/Account I have, an I am getting a message that says "Unable to sync - The owner of this shared server does not allow this item to be synced" I have tried signing out of the app on my phone, deleting the device from setting on my PC and even downloading, logging in and trying it on another Android mobile device I have gotten that message each time . Need help.

Automatic Library Update and Partial Scan
I've 1.6.1 PMS running on MacMini with macOS Sierra 10.12.4
I've these 2 options checked but they won't work. The PMS won't update the library or do a partial scan.
Is it just me or is it a bug or something?

Converting from Qnap to Synology
I have always been a Synology fanboy but a couple years ago I decided to try out QNAP which turned out to be a mistake. Anyway, I am now running a Synology RS3617RPxs and am trying to convert my Plex library back to Synology. I've followed the same procedure I used when converting to Qnap but it doesn't seem to work, when I fire up Plex it just acts like a brand new install and loads the startup Wizard. I'm mostly just concerned with retaining my viewing status (whats been watched and not watched etc etc).

I stopped the Plex application on the Synology and copied the entire Plex folder from the Qnap and pasted it into the Plex folder on the Synology, I went in and made sure the Plex user had Permissions set to Full Control and CHOWN'd everything to be owned by plex. When I start the Plex app and launch the Plex Web console, it asks me for my PIN (as I have multiple users setup on my QNAP library) but then it runs the startup wizard and presents me with an empty library.
I'll keep digging to see if there is an official procedure for converting, if anyone can point me at one or let me know where I am going wrong, I would appreciate it.

Videos stop playing randomly after a few minutes
I have tested this on 3 different Roku devices. Roku 4, TCL Roku tv and insignia roku tv. After a few minutes videos stop playing and act like they played the entire video. So if I'm watching a tv show it may start playing but after a few minutes it will go to the "next up" screen as if I finished the episode and it is preparing to play the next episode. I found that this is happening with movies as well. It will stop playing randomly and go to the recommendations screen.
Please help, it's driving me insane.

Tricky TV special metadata
Looking for some suggestions on a tricky TV special I'm trying to get Plex to recognize.
It's the "Family Ties Vacation" from Season 4 of the show. Here's what I've tried:

Now I know it has an entry on theTVdb, but none of the above seem to work.

Reinstalled Windows and now no remote access or server found on Roku
I just reinstalled windows 10 professional on my home desktop and tried to reinstall Plex Media Server like my desktop had before reinstalling windows. Now I can't seem to get remote access to work or any of my Rokus to see my media. The Rokus see the "Friendly Name" of my server but keep giving me errors like:
"Relay connection unavailable"
"Couldn't locate a server"
"Secure connection state unreachable" - "server name connection state: unreachable"
I've tried everything that I could think of with no positive results. Can someone please help? Thank you!

Sony Bravia 2015 won't play files with DTS-HD 7.1 sound anymore
This is a problem I didn't have a month back or so. Recently my setup won't play files with DTS-HD sound which is 7.1. I've tried several files with 7.1 sound but they just won't start. The movie starts but freezes at 0:01 time stamp. I've tried reducing bandwidth in the plex app but it won't help, not even if I lower really much. I've also tried with/without direct stream and direct play but with no luck.
It is not a bandwidth problem, there are never any server speed issues and server and TV are connected via wire 1000 mbit internal network in my flat. Trying Chromecast 2 it struggles a bit but can play a similar file. Casting directly to the TV cast works flawless but I think that's because then the tv will output only stereo sound. The AndroidTV app will output 5.1 sound to the receiver.
My setup: Sony Bravia 55W755 (W705C) (Android 6.0) and I have a Sony STR-DN1050 receiver with 5.1 speakers. Receiver connected via HDMI-ARC.
Happy for any input regarding this. It should be a problem that has occured due to an update of AndroidTV-app, the TV or Plex media server. Any thoughts?

plex .srt file not showing as avail subtitle option
i have what appears to be a common issue with no straightforward answer.
i have a mkv file with a separate .srt subtitle file
when trying to view the movie subtitles come up as 'none' with no option to select any other.
i've read and tried #allthethings but for the life of me i just can't get them to show up.
anybody feel like walking me through (more than likely) the same steps i've done and see if either i've missed something or if it's something else.
any help would be appreciated before i throw this thing out the window :P

EAC3 and Roku Ultra
I recently installed 1.5.2.3557 while the wife was watching a movie and after the update some movies would have no audio.
This only seemed to effect movies that have DTS-MA 7.1 audio source. Looking at the session details it shows the audio is being transcoded into EAC3, while on the older 1.4.4.3495 it transcodes into AAC instead.
I tried a few settings, but again it was working fine before the upgrade.

Update Library button missing in libraries
I am on Version 1.6.1.3722 ... I just added a movie under /mnt/Movies which is sole directory for my Movies library.
I had just added a new movie into this directory/library, but I cannot get PMS to refresh/update the library and recognize this movie.
In addition, when I click the '...' button next to Movies, I do NOT see an "Update Library" option.

[REL] wmc2Plex - LiveTV with ServerWMC
First off, thank you to Krustyreturns for his help with this project and also his on going development of ServerWMC which is allowing us to integrate Windows Media Center's LiveTV functionality with Plex.
You can learn more about ServerWMC and download it here. ServerWMC Wiki . It is required, along with Windows Media Center, for this channel to function.

This channel is in it very early Alpha stages. Currently it will only work with a TV tuner that has DLNA capabilities such as the HDHomeRun Prime.
Current Version: Alpha 0.11.3
Current functionality:
- Get list of LiveTV channels without EPG data
- Get list of channels in Guide Section with EPG data.
- See what is currently playing on those channels
- Stream those channels.
- Get full listings for 'x' amount of days when in channel object (added 1/8/2015) - See Post 18 for more info
- List scheduled recordings, Cancel Scheduled recordings (added 1/16/2015) *This is for single items only. Series management is not implemented yet.
- transcoding profiles (added 1/16/2015)
- Ability to record currently playing programs (added 1/16/2015)

Server OS Tested : Windows 8.1, Synology(Thanks Rog), QNAP(Thanks Breezy)
Clients Tested : Plex Home Theater, Plex Web, Roku 3,Plex Android, Plex Samsung, Plex iOS
Networks: Tested on LAN, WiFi, and over 4G network on Android. (This means successful streaming of LiveTv from your home to anywhere in the world as long as you have a decent cell connection.)
Settings in wmc2plex channel:
serverwmcip - put in the ip of your machine running ServerWMC. Default is localhost.
serverwmc_port - If you changed the port when ServerWMC was installed put that in. Default is 9080.
server_wmc_epg_days - This will dictate how many days of EPG (guide) info to get. default is 7. This is more for future use as in its current state it only shows what is now playing on the channels.
debug_level - If you are having trouble please change this to Verbose, restart Plex and recreate the issue. Submit the logs. Otherwise, default is normal but can be turned to none.
Again, thank you to Krustyreturns and other who have helped with this project. I will release another Alpha build when the next phase is complete.

NOTE* : Keep in mind that the DLNA stream from the tuner will be transcoded by Plex.
When you are looking at scheduled recordings, keep in mind, clicking the item will cancel the recording.

Media not detected in windows
Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place for this... but I have Windows misbehaving in regards to media recognition.
The short version is that I have 3 mirrored media servers. Same exact media libraries, synced every 30 minutes. Files are all identical. I have a movie "Masterminds (2016)" - I have a Mac server and two Windows servers. The windows servers cannot recognize the file, but the Mac server shows it just fine.
Has anyone experienced this? I would say it's a naming issue, but the mac server sees it just fine... anyone experienced anything like this before?
